When am I entitled to severance?
On dismissal or agreement for organisational reasons (§ 52 a–c). It is 1× / 2× / 3× the average earnings by length of employment. For a work injury or occupational disease it can be up to 12×.
How is average earnings determined?
From the previous calendar quarter, including bonuses. The calculator uses the figure you enter — for exact average earnings consult payroll.
